Cookie policy
Last updated: 5 May 2026
In short: we don't use tracking or advertising cookies. We use one thing: a local entry in your browser that remembers whether you've answered the cookie banner, so you don't see it on every visit.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files saved by your browser on your device when you visit a site. They are generally used to remember your preferences, keep you logged in, or for analytics and advertising.
On the web there are also similar technologies, localStorage, sessionStorage and IndexedDB, which are not strictly cookies but work in similar ways. We treat them the same in terms of transparency.
2. What we use
On orevo.ro we use a minimal set of local storage, only for the site's operation:
- orevo_cookie_consent
- Type: localStorage (not an HTTP cookie).
Purpose: remembers whether you clicked "Accept" or "Decline" on the cookie banner, so we don't show it on every visit.
Duration: stored until you delete it from the browser.
Personal data: none, just the value "accept" or "refuse". - orevo-locale
- Type: first-party HTTP cookie.
Purpose: remembers the chosen language (ro / en) so we don't detect on every visit and so we respect your manual choice.
Duration: 12 months.
Personal data: none, just the language code. - orevo-greeted
- Type: sessionStorage (not an HTTP cookie).
Purpose: avoids showing our developer-console greeting more than once per session. Strictly technical.
Duration: only for the current session, deleted when you close the tab.
Personal data: none.
3. What we DON'T use
- Behavioural tracking cookies
- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Facebook, Google Ads pixels or other marketing networks
- Profiling analytics (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.)
- Third-party cookies
If we add an anonymous analytics tool in the future (for example to see how many people visit the site), we'll update this policy and add clear options to the consent banner.
4. How you can control cookies
You can accept or decline cookies directly from the banner shown on your first visit. You can also at any time:
- Delete site data from your browser (Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Site data)
- Block cookies and localStorage entirely from your browser settings
- Use incognito / private browsing, where data is not kept between sessions

5. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if we change anything about how we use cookies or local storage. The last update date is shown at the top.
